THE GIRL IN ROOM 105: CHETAN BHAGAT
"I think everyone has to read this book, not for literary enjoyment, but for self-realization. The fact is, we all need an experience to confirm that it is what it is. No advice can change us until it comes to experience. "The Girl in Room 105" is a random book I took from my college library. From the first page onwards, this book takes us to a stage that bridges love and family. The book explores betrayal, humiliation, love, crime, and family melodramas.
The book revolves around the investigation into the death of a Kashmiri girl named Zara Lone, the former girlfriend of the protagonist, Keshav Rajpurohit. Keshav and Zara had a breakup four years ago, but Keshav didn't move on from her. He stalked her, called her, and tried to contact her in every way possible. However, Zara was engaged to her boyfriend, Raghu, a millionaire, while Keshav was a teacher at a coaching center.
On the night of Zara's birthday, Keshav received some text messages from her. He reached her hostel room to wish her with full effort, but all he could see was her dead body. From that moment onwards, his life took a different direction. Like another book by Chetan Bhagat, "2 States," this book also engages with cross-cultural love stories and their impact on life. The book discusses how a beautiful woman can misuse her beauty; Zara cheats Raghu, which leads to her death.
"I loved you zara; I said. Perhaps too much,'Thank you for showing me what love is all about. And thank you for also teaching me to never love someone too much".
Contemporary relevance:
- Discuss how the Indian Police can make a course change in crime investigation.
- Explore how family can impact one's personality and potentially traumatize them.
- Unemployment and financial crisis.
- How money can lead a poor person's life to be settled in jail.
The book "The Girl in Room 105" shows us how a good friend can have a major impact on our life, and everything happens for a reason. If you have an open mind and a curious nature, you can find what you're seeking. Beauty is not always reflected as loyalty. No one will be there with you forever. Be authentic, even if your life is screwed up! This book may not hold much literary value, but it offers valuable insights."
“Sometimes the truth hides in the shadows of the people we trust the most.”
Note: Enjoy a friendship story than a betrayal and murder mystery.
