VERITY BY COLLEEN HOOVER

We may complete some books within 30 days to 3 days. 'Verity' by Colleen Hoover is such a novel that I completed within 3 days. It's a book with surprising plot twists that no one could even imagine while reading. At first, I judged the book, thinking it would merely be a romance novel because it belongs to Colleen Hoover, but it wasn't a romance novel; it's a psychological thriller with alternating narration.

We're all familiar with some of Colleen Hoover's books, such as 'Ugly Love', 'It Ends with Us', and 'It Starts with Us'. But through the book 'Verity', Colleen Hoover's creativity peaked. The book explores the lives of Lowen Ashleigh, Verity Crawford, Jeremy Crawford, and their kids. Verity Crawford is a renowned writer married to Jeremy and had kids. Jeremy becomes bedridden due to an accident, and as a result, she's incapable of completing her book series. To complete it, they approach Lowen, a young writer. Jeremy takes Lowen to their home, and while working in Verity's office, Lowen finds a manuscript that is Verity's autobiography, making her doubt Verity's accident and the death of their kids. Through this, Lowen falls for Jeremy.

However, whenever I watched reels and shorts about the book 'Verity', they said that Verity had jealousy towards her kids because her husband loved them more than her, so she tried to kill them. From one perspective, it's true because the book contains two different narrations of the same incident. The first thing is that Verity wrote a manuscript stating she murdered her kids due to jealousy, but it wasn't true; she made a fictional story based on the accidental death of her kids, which made Jeremy have some emotional conflicts with Verity. Jeremy and Lowen have a deep relationship. On some occasions, the book reveals scary things about their married life. I never expected the plot twist in the book to surprise me. Lowen tried her best to hide the autobiography from Jeremy, but Lowen herself exposed it in front of him while threatening to break the drama of Verity, which she fabricated in her bedridden life.

Some books can make us fall for their male characters. Jeremy and his green eyes were stuck in my mind from the moment he was introduced until I started my next book. Overall, 'Verity' is a thought-provoking suspense novel that explores complex aspects of life."

NOTE: This book is a mind spoiler
