Some books can make us to doubt about the reality and myth, sometimes we don't believe even if it is a myth. Francis ittykora is such a novel which made me to doubt about the existence of such rituals and people.francis ittykora is a mystery, thriller and historical novel by T.D Ramakrishnan which holds some unpredictable twists and plots. This novel connects the incidence and history creatively with people and cultures during the last 500 years.  The Novel begins with an American man who joined US army, during the war he raped a little girl, brutally so he was kept in a mental asylum for 1 year. As a result of the treatment he lost his sexuality, to regain it he had several nonsense ,at last he finds a website of   a "orgasm selling market" known as "The school".


The Xavier ittycora is a descendant of a great merchant Francis ittykora,  who had 18 wives and 79 children those who belongs  to his family is called "18 aam koottukar", 18 families which is spread across the world. These people have some strange practices so they keep a special status in the world. Most part of this books makes us to wonder about the plot of the story which is really unbelievable but it may end in Google search about the existence of the characters mentioned in it.


The school is consist of 3 prostitutes, Rekha, Reshma and bindu they are well  known proffers and designers . These prostitutes set outs a journey to gain the trust of their client Xavier ittykora and to help him to find about his ancestors. 

The Xavier Ittycora meets Katrina a witch , through her practices he realizes that Katrina belongs to  the same community.

The novel explores through "cannibal feasts ", "magic"  "desire" and "power". The Ittykora  ,the founder of Cora family setups secret "hypatian" schools. The book explore through the life of hypatia, and Michelangelo etc.

Francis ittykora is considered as a man of legendary sexual powers and so more . Through out the novel we can dive into the culture of kerala and Europe. The mixture of kerala and European culture gives us a historical drive through the 5 centuries of historical milestones. The kunnamkulam of trissur district is the core centre of the the story. They believes that  the strange rituals and traditions  are the reason behind the wealth and prosperity so they does it without any hesitations. 


The book Francis ittykora  reached me at the same time with "Haunting  Adeline ". I completed Francis ittykora faster than the other one because it was mesmerizing. 


No doubt that the author is a genius to make this masterpiece.

The stranger

 Some persons are special But in different ways . It was a strange meet,But very special .My family and me  was in a tour at Bangalore ,after our meal we returned to Yeshwanthpur Railway station .The train will left the station at 8pm , but it has 2 hours left for it .
